Former Team GB standout Sandy Ryan continues her impressive ascent in professional boxing. Signed by Matchroom Boxing in 2021, Ryan boasts a record of eight wins (one by split decision) and one loss.

A decorated amateur, Ryan secured a gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and a silver at the 2014 World Championships. Now trained by Clifton Mitchell, the 30-year-old (as of July 2024) Derby boxer capped off 2022 with a successful defense of her WBC International Super-Lightweight Title against former World Champion Anahi Sanches.

Determined to challenge for world titles, Ryan recently stepped up to Welterweight. In April 2023, on the undercard of the Rakhimov vs. Cordina fight, she dominated her opponent over ten rounds, securing a ninth professional victory by unanimous decision. In 2024, Ryan secured the WBO World Welter title against Terri Harper.
