Gary Cully

Nicknamed "The Diva," Gary Cully is an Irish boxing sensation captivating the lightweight division. Boasting a stellar record of 18 wins with 10 victories by knockout and only one defeat, Cully has established himself as a force to be reckoned with.

Cully's boxing journey began with a flourish in the amateur ranks. He secured a gold medal at the prestigious 2013 European Youth Championships, showcasing his early potential. He continued to refine his skills and competed at the Youth World Championships in 2014.

Turning professional in 2017, Cully hasn't looked back. His professional debut was a resounding success, defeating Gyula Tallosi via TKO. His relentless pursuit of victory continued, culminating in his first national title win in February 2020 against previously undefeated local fighter Joe Fitzpatrick.

March 2021 marked a defining moment in Cully's career. He faced Viktor Kotochigov for the coveted WBO European lightweight title, delivering a spectacular performance. Cully secured the championship with a dominant second-round technical knockout victory, solidifying his place among Europe's elite lightweight boxers. February 2023 is when Cully became the WBA inter-continental light title after knocking out Wilfredo Flores. In May of 2024, Cully had a unanimous decision win against Francesco Patera at First Direct Arena.
